The mountain has been textured and some trees have been added to its base.
I tried to add a road going around it and up to the top, but it vertically raised the terrain under it way too much, so I'll have to find another way to do it.

Trees have also been added to the hill and a small house and cafe have been added to the scene.

I replaced the green horizon plain with an extra terrain and added mountains along its edges so that the scene would look more realistic beyond the playable area. I'll get around to adding trees to it later.

A basic save/load system has been added, using Unity Serializer. It works, but the interface could've been designed better. It did mess up a bit with loading a saved game once, but that might've been because I changed something. I'm not sure, though.

Well, it's been about two and a half years since I've actually done anything with this blog. The Commander Neat project has been abandoned. I've moved more into game development now, so I guess I'll use this blog for that. I was using the blog on Game Jolt, but I didn't like how you had to click something to see the entire post.
Anyway, after making a dinky, 2-D game with Construct 2 called SteveQuest, I've started on one in Unity that's a bit more elaborate called Runaway. I haven't worked out the whole story yet, but I'm going to try to make it a 3-D open world game with interactivity with some characters. Right now, I'm just in the early stages of designing the terrain. I'd like to get most of it set up before I worry about anything else.
